In June 2013, Eleanor visited ten leading London hospitals to inform them of our new service and systems innovation being introduced to the market. The visit was primarily to gauge ‘blue sky’ feedback from the heads of Trust Procurement, Facilities Management and Nursing to ask what newly developed systems and solutions would help them improve the efficiency of their Hospital Materials Management service.
On the back of this positive feedback, Eleanor designed a series of individual system modules to assist each hospital trust in delivering the perfect hospital supply chain service from the point of ordering through to store room replenishment, consumption and reorder.
Eleanor joined up with Transport for London (TFL) system developers, and a successful partnership was initiated and systems were built from scratch. NHS relationships were formed, and successful service contracts were soon deployed in the hospital warehouse and materials management.
Eleanor believes in giving hospital clinical teams an opportunity to ‘blue sky’, “you ask, we develop”.
